How close did we come to shots being fired at the Bundy Ranch?

Check out the above photo.  I found it by googling Bundy Ranch standoff.

Notice the guy in prone position?

Notice the law enforcement vehicles in the background?

Think that he wasn't observed by either counter sniper or airborne surveillance?

How close did we come to shots being fired today?  I look at the above photo and it chills me to the bones.  If I recall correctly, pointing a weapon at a LEO is considered justification for them to shoot.  How many times did a BLM supervisor have to deny a request to shoot at the guys on the overpass pointing weapons at them?

The country is on razors edge and the pic above is proof of that.  Someone will miscalculate and people will die.

  1. Anybody remember Elian Gonzalez? They'll come in when things have simmered down and in the middle of the night.

The "resistance" isn't organized and a lot of those folks will need to return to their real lives. From what I've read, some of those rallying around this are the usual paranoiacs who see black helicopters and UN/NWO Armies poised on the border.

    for example:

    Russian contractors?

The Bundy issue is compelling and unfortunately, too many fruitbats are flocking around it and distracting from the issue itself. Some of these guys are dumb and dangerous.

  2. well the scary thing is that nobody cares that Bundy is wrong here. they could care less about that.

this is all about wanting a fight and using an excuse to get the gear out and go play red dawn. the funny thing and its not funny at all is that we're so close to civil disorder on a massive scale that its frightening.

its all about economics. the Obama admin has yet to deal properly with the Great Recession and neither has the clowns in Congress (and that applies to both parties). people are scared, they're worried and they see a washington that is not responsive to their needs but concentrating on social issues instead of what keeps people up at night.

gay marriage, immigration reform, women pay gap? all nice to do, but once we get the economy in shape, but as usual washington fucked it up and now people want to burn the house down.

    1. We will never deal with the, "Great Recession". They will never stop doing monetary expansion, so just hold on tight, and enjoy the roller coaster ride called our economy. The only good thing is China and pretty much every other major nation in the world is doing the same shit.

  3. Photos like this and others will be used to write warrants for the raids previously mentioned. You can bet they had under covers walking around taking pictures, video taping people, and gaining intel in case something like the photo above happened. Oh also this would be the perfect event to infiltrate the militias by befriending them and gaining their trust over time. On face the feds lost, but they could have a huge win on the back end.

Also like you mentioned the Feds will hit everyone at once no matter how many agencies need to be brought in to do it, and they will try and keep it quiet if they can.

  4. When i saw the photo i thought the same. This guy has one if not two people with scopes on him, all a much better shot and more than likely assisted by technology.

This whole situation was blown up by the Tea Party and honestly the super hardcore right wingers. Dont get me wrong i would still feel the same about all of this if it was a left issue (the two extremes are both crazy) 20 years of doing something illegal is 20 years of doing it illegally. Im waiting to see how many of these milita men got tagged via facial recognition and are going to get raided.

  5. I see folks are taking sides already, government pukes or Patriots.
Doesn't matter, the gov sees both the pukes and patriot's as the same kulaks to be removed.
This government and administration is not our allies or protectors, they are our jailers.

  7. OTH, those could be undercover agents posing as militia types. I doubt there was any militia roll call so I bet it would have been easy for any agent to show up in out of state plates on a car, jeans, ball cap with an AR and video recorder. FBI routinely infiltrates into activist groups, even peaceful ones, and I'd bet cold cash there were some Feebs in the crowd

  9. Well old Bundy was just on the Blaze. His stance is he doesn't like that Nevada gave 83% or whatever of its land to the FEDS when it became a state. So he won't recognize that the feds run the land his cattle is tress passing on so he stopped paying them for the right to graze there. He recognizes the state and county, but not the feds. The clear problem he has with his argument is that the state constitution gives the Feds all rights to do with it how they see fit.

  10. I've decided to stop paying the lease fees I pay for my cabin on National Forest Land. Oh and I've also decided to start helping myself to a few mature Ponderosa Pines (no more than 30/year). And I'm also looking forward to gill-netting me some trout in the Yellowstone River. And the Feds can EFF-OFF 'cuz I don't recognize them... What a better country this would be if EVERYBODY started helping themselves just like Mr. Bundy...
